KKR, UAE’s Gulf data hub to invest over $5b in data centers
Global private equity firm KKR has partnered with Gulf Data Hub (GDH) to invest over US$5 billion in data centre infrastructure in the Gulf region.
This marks KKR’s first investment of this type in the area.
The companies announced that KKR has acquired a stake in GDH for an undisclosed amount.
KKR’s investment will be managed through its infrastructure division, which oversees US$77 billion in assets within a broader US$624 billion portfolio, as reported in September 2024.
The agreement was signed in the presence of UAE ministers Thani Al Zeyoudi and Omar Al Olama.
