Israeli cloud startup Eon secures $200m, improves data resilience
Eon, a cloud infrastructure backup startup founded by Ofir Ehrlich, Ron Kimchi, and Gonen Stein, has raised over US$200 million in funding within a year.
This funding has led to a valuation of US$1.4 billion as the company aims to improve cloud data resilience.
Ehrlich, who co-founded CloudEndure, which was acquired by Amazon in 2019, addressed the complexities of cloud backup at Calcalist’s InvesTech conference. He described cloud backup for large systems as an underserved area.
Eon has strategically pursued funding, attracting investment from leading firms like Sequoia. The rapid valuation increase and success in funding reflect strong demand for its solutions.
This positions Eon to compete in the global cloud infrastructure market.
