Huawei to launch first HarmonyOS Next smartphone in March
Huawei Technologies has announced a smartphone launch set for March, featuring its HarmonyOS Next platform.
This device will be the first developed specifically for the HarmonyOS Next ecosystem, according to Richard Yu Chengdong, chairman of Huawei’s consumer business group.
In a video released on Feb.24, Yu said that the new smartphone will demonstrate advancements in hardware, software, and its application ecosystem.
Major tech companies in China, including Tencent, ByteDance, Alibaba, and Meituan, are reportedly adjusting their applications for compatibility with HarmonyOS Next.
