Honasa’s stock falls 6% despite growth efforts
Shares of Honasa Consumer, the parent company of Mamaearth, fell nearly 6% during intraday trading on March 3, closing at 203.45 rupees (US$2.33) on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The company’s market capitalization was 6,634 crore rupees (US$760 million), with over 320,000 shares traded by 12:05 PM.
Over the past year, the stock has lost about 50% of its value and declined more than 8% in the last five trading sessions.
It has finished in negative territory in three of the last seven sessions, having closed at 216.05 rupees (US$2.47) on Feb. 28.
The company has made recent changes to enhance operations, such as hiring Lokesh Chhaparwal as senior vice president of technology and engineering.
