Grab Indonesia launches new feature for easier bill payments
Grab Indonesia has launched Bayarin, a feature that lets users pay digital bills for others through a single payment link, making it the first Request to Pay (RTP) service in Indonesia.
Bayarin supports payments for various bills, including mobile top-ups, electricity (both prepaid and postpaid), BPJS health insurance, internet and cable TV subscriptions, property taxes, and other utilities.
Users can send payment requests through messaging platforms like WhatsApp.
Hadi Koe, Head of Marketing Platform at Grab Indonesia, said internal data shows half of Grab’s digital transactions are made for others, highlighting Bayarin’s role in simplifying bill payments for families.
The feature is available in the Pulsa/Bills section of the Grab app, where users can select a bill type, generate a payment request link, and send it to others.
