Google has launched the “Generate Audio Overview” feature for its Gemini app, allowing users to create audio summaries from detailed reports. This feature transforms in-depth research into audio discussions with two AI-generated hosts.

Previously available in NotebookLM since September 2024, it is now accessible to both free users and Advanced subscribers in Gemini.

The feature works with Gemini’s Deep Research tool, which gathers information from the web to generate extensive reports. After a report is created, users can select “Generate Audio Overview” to listen to a summary.

This update enhances accessibility and interactivity for users handling large amounts of research material.
