Google has launched two new AI models for robotics, expanding its portfolio with Gemini Robotics and Gemini Robotics-ER under the Gemini 2.0 framework.

The announcement, made on Mar. 12, highlights the company’s commitment to advancing the robotics sector through artificial intelligence.

Gemini Robotics integrates vision, language, and action, allowing robots to perform tasks, while Gemini Robotics-ER enhances environmental understanding and supports advanced reasoning.

The models are designed for factory systems, warehouse automation, and humanoid robots.

Testing was conducted on ALOHA 2, with future adaptations planned for Apptronik’s Apollo robot.
