Gogoro Inc, a Taiwan-based electric scooter and battery network provider, has signed an agreement with Castrol Holdings to create a joint venture targeting Vietnam’s electric scooter market.

This collaboration aims to leverage Castrol’s expertise in the region to support Gogoro’s market entry.

Under the partnership, Gogoro will handle scooter design and battery technology, while Castrol will oversee operations.

Vietnam, with annual sales of three million two-wheelers, marks Gogoro’s first entry into Southeast Asia.
