German medtech firm Amboss raises $260m
Amboss, a German medical software startup, has secured €240 million (approximately US$260 million) in a financing round led by Kirkbi, Lightrock, and M&G Investments. The funding round also included participation from existing investors, the company announced on Mar. 25, 2025.
Founded in 2012 and based in Berlin, Amboss provides study tools for medical students and an online database for healthcare professionals such as doctors and nurses.
The company serves over one million users across 180 countries, with significant markets in Germany and the US.
Co-CEO Benedikt Hochkirchen said that the funds will be used to enhance the company’s technology and explore new market opportunities.
