Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., also known as Foxconn, is partnering with Nvidia Corp. to develop humanoid robots, according to Hon Hai Chairman Young Liu.

The project will use Nvidia’s software and hardware technologies, with Kaohsiung designated as a central hub for the initiative.

Hon Hai has previously introduced non-humanoid robots in its manufacturing and aims to expand humanoid robots into sectors such as healthcare.

This partnership is part of Hon Hai’s efforts to diversify its operations, which have traditionally focused on electronics and component manufacturing.
