EU to fine Apple, Meta for digital market violations
EU antitrust regulators are preparing to impose fines on Apple and Meta Platforms for alleged violations of the bloc’s Digital Markets Act (DMA), sources familiar with the matter said on Mar.10.
The penalties are expected to be relatively low compared to the maximum fines under the DMA, which can reach up to 10% of a company’s global annual revenue.
Both tech giants have faced scrutiny for potentially breaching rules aimed at regulating the dominance of major digital platforms.
