Defense tech firm Anduril expands manufacturing in Australia
Anduril Industries is exploring international expansion for its manufacturing operations, including in Australia.
The company is building a mass manufacturing facility in Ohio and assessing potential sites abroad. In Australia, it is developing a production site in New South Wales to support its work with the Australian Defence Force.
Recently, Anduril partnered with OpenAI to integrate advanced AI into national security systems.
It is also working on the Ghost Shark, an autonomous underwater system for the Australian Defence Force, with updates on large-scale production expected soon.
Company president Christian Bose also addressed US defense budget discussions, stating that it is unclear if proposed reductions are actual cuts or reallocations toward emerging military capabilities.
