Defense firm Anduril in talks for $2.5b, valued at $28b
Anduril Industries, a defense technology firm, is in discussions to secure US$2.5 billion in funding, potentially valuing the company at over US$28 billion.
This funding round is led by the venture capital firm Founders Fund and follows a recent US$1.5 billion investment.
The California-based company, chaired by Trae Stephens, has grown significantly in developing autonomous weapon systems.
Anduril also plans to invest nearly US$1 billion in manufacturing facility in Ohio, covering an area similar to 87 football fields.
Representatives from Anduril and Founders Fund did not comment on the funding discussions.
