Byju’s CEO claims misconduct as firm replaces management
Byju’S CEO and founder, Byju Raveendran, has alleged misconduct in the ongoing insolvency proceedings involving the edtech company.
In a LinkedIn post, he claimed to have evidence of “criminal collusion” between EY India, the company’s lenders, and Interim Resolution Professional (IRP) Pankaj Srivastava.
Raveendran criticized Srivastava, who was appointed by the court to protect the company’s interests.
These claims follow a whistleblower’s report that alleged Srivastava engaged EY India for advisory services, despite a potential conflict of interest.
The firm had prior dealings with Byju’S lenders.
As a result of these developments, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has replaced Srivastava with Shailendra Ajmera, also from EY India, as the new resolution professional for Byju’S.
