BYD launches Qin L EV sedan to rival Tesla

BYD, a prominent electric vehicle manufacturer, has launched the Qin L sedan to compete with Tesla’s Model 3 in the Chinese market.

The Qin L, unveiled on Mar. 23, is priced at 119,800 yuan (approximately US$16,517).

This price is significantly lower than the Tesla Model 3’s starting price of 235,500 yuan (US$32,428).

The Qin L has a driving range of 545 kilometers, while the Model 3 offers 634 kilometers.

Both vehicles include basic self-driving features and a digital cockpit.
