Social networking platform Bluesky announced the launch of a trending topics feature in beta on December 25, 2024.

Users can find this feature on the desktop version in the right sidebar and through the search function on the mobile app.

Users can choose to disable the feature by going to Settings > Content and Media and unchecking the “Enable trending topics” option.

Words or phrases that users have muted will also be excluded from the trending topics list.

Unlike other platforms that have region-specific rollouts, this test is globally accessible.
