Blockchain-linked World Network plans Visa crypto wallet features
World Network, a blockchain ecosystem linked to Worldcoin, is reportedly discussing a partnership with Visa to integrate card features into a self-custody crypto wallet.
Sources familiar with the matter indicate that this collaboration aims to enable Visa card functionality within World Network wallets.
If successful, this integration would allow users to access services such as fiat on- and off-ramps, stablecoin payments, and foreign exchange options. This would facilitate transactions with merchants in Visa’s global network.
Tools for Humanity, which manages World Network and Worldcoin, has issued a request for product proposals from card issuers.
The organization has also engaged in talks with crypto card providers like Rain, known for offering on-chain Visa cards for platforms such as Optimism and Avalanche.
The initiative aims to position the World Wallet as a versatile financial tool. It will allow users to manage and trade a variety of assets, including cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies. Sources suggest that the wallet could operate similarly to a traditional bank account.
