Binance, US SEC request 60-day pause in legal battle
Binance and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) have requested a 60-day pause in their legal case, citing the potential impact of a new cryptocurrency task force.
The SEC sued Binance, its US subsidiary, and founder Changpeng Zhao in June 2023 for alleged trading volume inflation, fund mismanagement, and misleading market surveillance practices.
The SEC’s crypto task force, launched in January 2025, aims to tackle regulatory challenges.
