Apple TV Plus reportedly lost over US$1 billion in 2024 despite gaining 45 million subscribers, making it Apple’s only unprofitable service.
To manage costs, Apple reduced its US$5 billion budget for Apple TV Plus content by US$500 million.
Despite hits like “Severance”, the service holds under 1% of streaming viewership, far behind Netflix’s 8.2%.
