New Gundam Extreme Vs Boost gets free DLC for a limited time
Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs Boost will be released in Japan in a matter of days, and in order to boost excitement for the new PS3, Bandai Namco has announced completely free DLC that will make you want to buy the game immediately.
Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs Boost, like its predecessors, is an arcade brawler that will have you duking it out with other mobile suits from the expansive anime universe. The game will be released on the PlayStation 3 (PS3) as well as arcade units across Japan, though the PS3 version will feature missions for players who want to play through a story mode. Gundam EXVS Boost will also feature a new online co-op mode that will allow you to team up with a friend and work your way through the game’s missions.
Gundam EXVS Boost has already revealed a large portion of the mobile suits available in the game, but in a promotional video uploaded to Youtube today, Bandai Namco announced that you can download and play as Johnny Ridden and Lacus Clyne. These two fan favorites are going to be terrific additions to the game, and the best part is they are completely free to download. That is, if you do it within a week of the game’s release.
As of right now there is no word on an English-language release, but the game is not region locked. If you are willing to struggle through the Japanese, the game will cost you 7,980 Yen ($80 USD). For an additional $30, you can get the Premium G Sound edition. This limited edition Premium G Sound package will get you the soundtrack to the game, which features songs from the many Gundam anime featured in Boost.
We’ll be reviewing Gundam EXVS Boost as soon as we can so stay tuned to Games in Asia!
