In brief: Nets rolls out unified e-payment solution at 500 hawker stalls
- Payments services group Nets has rolled out a unified e-payment system at more than 500 hawker stalls out of the roughly 12,000 across Singapore, The Straits Times reported.
- The system would unify payments from 23 different providers to ease payments for customers and let stalls use a single payment terminal.
- The cashless payment options include e-wallets like Singtel Dash and GrabPay, transport cards EZ-link and Nets FlashPay, and credit cards such as Visa and Mastercard.
- Singapore’s National Environment Agency, Housing Board, JTC Corporation, and Enterprise Singapore appointed Nets to deploy the solution in September of last year.
