More Marketers To Start Blogging [FORECAST]

blogThere over 140 million blogs around the world, and that figure is likely to rise as eMarketer‘s forecasts that “1 in every 3 companies will have a public-facing blog for marketing this year, rising to 43 percent by 2012”.

“Companies are finding that blogs fill a specific niche that other forms of social media do not,” said eMarketer senior analyst Paul Verna.

Marketers perceive blogs to have the highest value of any social media in driving site traffic, brand awareness, lead generation and sales-as well as improving customer service,” Verna added.

Certainly, and it was proven on a previous study which we reported.

According to a research conducted by Hubspot, blog is the most critical platform to business compared to its social media cousins. In that study, 75% of the respondents rated blog as ‘useful’ and 31% voted it as ‘critical’ to their business.
