Peter Noszek, co-founder of SuperAI, sat down with Tech in Asia to share more about what the community can expect from this year’s event.

The following interview has been edited for clarity and brevity.

What is SuperAI all about?

SuperAI is Asia’s largest AI conference and the anchor event of Singapore AI Week. It brings together 10,000 attendees, over 150 speakers, and more than 1,500 AI companies from across frontier labs, enterprise, capital, government, and the startup ecosystem.

The focus this year is practical: how AI moves from research and demos into real-world deployment, with Singapore as the meeting point between East and West.

2026 marks the third edition of SuperAI. How has it grown since the first edition in 2024?

The first edition proved there was demand for a dedicated AI gathering in Asia. Since then, SuperAI has evolved into a full ecosystem platform.

The biggest shift for 2026 is strategic. We are bringing more of Silicon Valley and China into Singapore, while also deepening the Asia enterprise, government, and startup layer. Singapore is uniquely placed for that role: neutral, globally connected, and close to the enterprises and governments now deciding how AI gets deployed.

What are the six pillars of SuperAI 2026 and why are they so important?

The six pillars of SuperAI reflect the key areas of AI innovation and development that we have identified as most pertinent today. These are:

• Frontier models: exploring where model capability is heading next
• Robotics and embodied AI: understanding how AI moves into the physical world
• AI infrastructure: compute, chips, cloud, and the systems powering deployment
• AI in finance: looking at where AI is changing capital markets, banking, and risk
• Biotech and healthtech: AI’s impact on science, medicine, and human health
• AI’s global impact: how AI intersects with and affects governance, labor, policy, and society

What kinds of topics and speakers can attendees look forward to?

Our first wave of confirmed speakers includes:

• Balaji Srinivasan, author of the *Network State* and founder of the Network School
• Benedict Evans, independent tech analyst
• Max Tegmark, AI researcher and professor of physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
• Robbie Schingler, co-founder and chief strategy officer of Planet Labs

They’re joined on stage by industry leaders from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google DeepMind, Mistral AI, Unitree, Cerebras Systems, and more.

Beyond the stage agenda, what else can attendees expect from the conference?

SuperAI is home to two special events: the Genesis Startup Competition and the Next Hackathon.

The former is our annual competition. The top 50 shortlisted startups, selected from hundreds of global applicants, will be invited to attend the conference, and the top 10 finalists will pitch live to a panel of judges for a prize pool valued at US$850,000, powered by OpenAI and Microsoft for Startups.

The Next Hackathon is a 36-hour sprint where builders launch AI projects from scratch, with on-site guidance from experts at Amazon Web Services and AI cloud firm Vercel. There will be 200 participants competing to be one of the five winners, with a prize pool of US$130,000.

Additionally, SuperAI is a part of Singapore AI Week, which runs from June 8 to 14. Singapore AI Week is where the global AI community converges in Asia, drawing founders, developers, researchers, investors, and policymakers from across the world. Aside from our conference, there will also be 100+ community-organized satellite events across Singapore, which will create new opportunities for connection and collaboration.

Why is Singapore the right home for SuperAI?

Singapore sits at the intersection of East and West, enterprise and government, capital and deployment. It is small enough for the ecosystem to be coordinated but globally connected enough to convene founders, investors, labs, and policymakers from across the world.
