Founded in 2020, the platform offers live, interactive learning sessions on self-improvement and professional upskilling. It also provides on-demand classes, with packages for businesses eyeing training for employees.

ReSkills’ latest fundraise will go towards its expansion in Southeast Asia, with offices already in place in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The firm already has 169 coaches from these countries and in India, where a branch is opening in December.

“There will certainly be geographical growth as we look to take on more coaches under our wing,” said ReSkills CEO Jin Tan, noting that the startup aims to hit 100 million learners by 2025.

In recent years, edtech investments in Southeast Asia have increased in volume and value. Indonesia, Singapore, and Vietnam have been getting most of the checks in the region since 2019, with total deal value for 2021 so far already beating 2020 figures.
