Here are the Pinoy Dota 2 team line-ups that you need to know about

Now that the shuffle after The International 4 (TI4) is coming to a close, it’s time to take a look at what’s happening to Dota 2 teams in the Philippines. The country has been struck with frequent roster changes, as some teams have reformed and then disbanded after only a couple of weeks. Players being traded is normal in the scene as well.

Understandably, this leads to confusion among those who are watching the scene. Stream chats, for example, are heavily loaded with questions on who’s playing on what team. And for that reason we have compiled the current roster of the top teams in the Philippines. This will give those who follow the scene a good glimpse of the landscape of competitive Dota 2 in the country.

Mineski

Mineski is the team that every follower of the Philippine Dota 2 scene has their eyes on. In the past year, they have experienced several highs and lows, and fans have been there to either praise or bash them. After failing to qualify in TI4, the team fell into a slump. In the aftermath, Gio “Gio” Ramolete and the team’s captain Ryan Jay “Bimbo” Qui were dismissed from the team’s roster, while Joshua “Owa” Dela Serna became the team’s substitute player.

Since then, Mineski has been trying to get back in shape, scouting players from all over the country and putting them in probationary status. Right now, Jessie “JessieVash” Cuyco, Richard “Paseo” Minowa, and Owa remain in the official roster. Paseo however is acting as the team’s coach and sixth man.

Filling up the other three slots in the roster are: Jacko Soriano, a young player who rose to popularity during his stay at Olympus Gods; Prieme Ejay “PlayHard” Banquil, a former member of Mineski Davao; and Joven “Jhoven” Pancho, who was part of Mineski’s roster in 2013. The three are not yet officially part of Mineski however and are considered stand-ins until an official announcement is made.
