Co-founded by former Gojek executive Edy Tan this year, the Atma platform aims to connect lower and middle-income job seekers with work opportunities. As a social platform, Atma will feature a job marketplace and a community-based support system for applicants.

Atma will make the job search process more efficient and connect people to training opportunities and additional certifications, said Michael Soerijadji, founder and managing partner of AC Ventures.

It also helps “employers screen for applicants with more relevant qualifications,” he added.

Other angel investors in the round include executives and founders from:

  • GoTo Group
  • Advance Intelligence Group
  • Ula
  • Lummo
  • Kopi Kenangan
  • Sampoerna Strategic
  • MMS Group
  • Xiaomi
