VC tracker: Accel raises US$3.5b, including US$550m for India

Charts and visuals, only for subscribers

Startup fundraising in Southeast Asia and India hasn’t fully recovered, but that’s not deterring founders in these markets.

If anything, these founders are chasing bigger goals: building in the US and raising funding from marquee investors in the country.

Take Justin Banusing, who co-founded AcadArena, a Philippine campus gaming startup. He now runs Los Angeles-based martech company Clouted, which just closed a US$7 million series A backed by Slow Ventures, a16z Speedrun, and Peak XV.

Another example is Yoeven Khemlani, who built Singapore-based travel tech startup Stayr. His current project is Interfaze, a Y Combinator-backed AI firm from San Francisco that creates models for deterministic developer tasks.

Stories like these are why we’ve revamped this funding tracker, which launched in 2023.

Whether you’re raising for a venture in Southeast Asia, India, or the US, we hope you can find your next potential investor here.

Accel recently announced that it had raised US$3.5 billion across four funds for early-stage startup investments. Of the total, US$550 million is earmarked for India, US$1.6 billion for the US, Europe, and Israel, and the remaining US$1.4 billion for a global expansion fund.

Earlier this month, US-based South Park Commons closed its newest fund at US$575 million to back early-stage startups. Its portfolio companies include cloud startup Render, vibe-coding platform Replit, and AI presentation maker Gamma.

On focus areas, most VCs included in this tracker are multisector investors, with US$62 billion raised or committed since 2025.

Among single-sector funds, AI tops the list, followed by healthcare and deeptech.
