Singapore’s Perx Teams Up With American Express For More Shopping Bonuses

Mobile loyalty program Perx is keen to reward users even more for frequenting Singaporean retailers and is today partnering with American Express for that purpose. Now Perx users can sync their American Express cards (including AE-branded ones from UOB and DBS banks) with the app to accumulate loyalty ‘chops’ for instant rewards – so long as they pay with that particular credit card.

As is usually the case with things like this, the American Express-related bonuses are limited to selected stores and restaurants in Singapore. The Perx apps have been updated with a list of participating outlets (pictured below).

The Singaporean startup has processed over 650,000 loyalty chops so far and earlier this year rolled out a consumer feedback feature that’s particularly useful for stores.

Perx has plenty of competition among Singapore’s astute shoppers and diners – and retailers – in the form of Squiryl (Update: dead and gone), Gimmie, and, from a slightly different angle, MOGi.

The Perx app is free for folks on iOS and Android.
