Tin Men Capital, a Singapore-based VC firm, has completed the first close of its second enterprise tech fund to continue investing in B2B startups in Southeast Asia.

The company, which launched its first fund in 2018, focuses on industrial technologies and automation industries within the segments of smart cities, security, manufacturing, among others. Its portfolio companies include Hubble, Zipline, GlobalTix, Overdrive, IVS, and Braiven.

Not long after its establishment, the VC firm told Tech in Asia that it was set to raise US$100 million.

According to Tin Men, the vast majority of VCs have been leaning toward B2C companies, giving the firm a wider opportunity to cater to B2B founders.

The VC firm is currently led by Jeremy Tan, an alumnus of Puma Energy and Morgan Stanley, as well as Murli Ravi, who previously worked at Temasek and JAFCO. Its third co-founder, Benjamin Tan, has left the firm, according to Tin Men.

Recently, the company appointed John Tay as its partnership lead, who is expected to drive strategic partnerships as the company eyes the next stage of growth. Tay is one of the founders of Soule, a social enterprise focused on giving footwear to children in need.
