Hello readers,
In case you haven’t heard, Tech in Asia has achieved carbon neutrality – and just in time for Earth Day this week, too.
This wasn’t something that just happened. Over the past few months, our monthly townhalls included updates from the management team about how we’d been working hard towards going carbon neutral, why it’s so important that we do so, and how we can contribute in our individual capacities.
“But Nat,” I hear you thinking, “What’s that got to do with investments, acquisitions, and all the other stuff we usually read about on the FOMO Saturday newsletter?”
Well, I’m just really proud to be working for a company that takes its impact on the world so seriously. But also, while it’s great that a whopping US$3.1 billion in funding went to 141 startups this week, it’s important to know what that money is doing for humanity – and that includes those who will be here long after we’re gone.
After all, isn’t making the world a better place the whole point of innovation?
You can find all other important investment deals that happened in the last few days in our weekly funding news wrap-up.

Let’s dive into the biggest deals and M&As that recently took place.
