Vietnam-based BlokID, a developer of blockchain-powered privacy protection solutions, has raised US$1.25 million in a seed round led by Ascend Vietnam Ventures and AppWorks.
With this round of financing, BlokID said it will focus on product development, user acquisition efforts, and market expansion. It plans to launch its services by the second quarter of 2024.
Founded in July 2023, BlokID provides blockchain-powered security services focused on digital advertising. It enables brands and agencies to protect their assets through verification and authentication tech.
The company said its services can prevent data breaches by notifying clients whenever a third-party user accesses their information.
BlokID was founded by Michael Hahn, who previously held positions at Oracle and Valassis. He is also the founder of Vatic, a generative AI platform based in Singapore.
