Hello,

It finally rained in Singapore!

Those of you based here would be just as familiar as I am with the absolutely sweltering heat that’s baked the country over the last few weeks.

Even fresh showers don’t seem to help much. I once had one before leaving the house, walked about five minutes through several apartment blocks to the bus stop nearby, and by the time I’d gotten there I was almost drenched in sweat again. Send help.

The good news is that there’s more rainy weather on the horizon. It’s a welcome change. However, when I read about the news on Reddit, someone commented that after several weeks of rain, people would eventually complain and want hot weather again.

I won’t be one of them, but it does bring up an interesting point: maybe some people really, really need some form of change in their lives. Or maybe Singaporeans just love to complain about everything.

Positive change, as it stands, is still important. Just ask all the folks who’ve been dabbling in crypto and got slammed by crash after crash and repeated systemic failures. To that end, digital custodian Cobo is looking to make things better.

By the way, we’re hosting an ask me anything session with Willis Wee, CEO of Tech in Asia, Maria Li, our COO, and Terence Lee, our editor-in-chief. If you’ve ever had any burning questions to ask them, now’s the time!

Today we look at:
