Building a hardware startup: prototyping and supply chain (Infographic)

Building hardware prototypes/ products (from the electrical design, to firmware design, to industrial design, to mechanical parts and software design) and a supply chain management (from sourcing for raw materials to movement of parts to the factory to production) takes a hell lot of time and effort.

In spite of the increasing ease of building a hardware startup, it still takes time and money. It’s certainly not terrifying or impossible. You just need a lot more time and money than what a software or app startup needs in its early stages. Be ready for that when you enter this space.

This second piece focuses on building the product, prototyping and supply chain management — also known as the first wave of bloodshed.
