There are two positions available for Circos’ Singapore office: Software Engineer (Testing/QA) and Quality Analyst (Linguistics)

Software Engineer (Testing/QA)

As a Software Engineer in our Testing and Quality Assurance team, you will examine, validate, and test large scale software development and deployment projects as well as help design and build intelligent systems that can explore various use cases and scenarios.

This is a 1 year contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

* To work with the development teams to automate testing, and create new test harnesses.
* Creating test cases from user requirements, use cases and design documentation
* Ensure an appropriate mix of functional, regression and integration testing for each release.
* Report, track, and test QA issues identified and ensure critical issues are resolved.
* Implement new automation tools and create innovative automated test systems.

Requirements:

* BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent, PhD in Computer Science a plus.
* 3+ years of development and/or test automation experience.
* Fresh graduates with exceptional coding and/or scripting skills will be considered.
* Excellent coding skills in C, C++, or Java, Python is a plus.
* Good scripting skills in at least one common language (Perl, Python, Shell).
* Highly proficient in a Unix/Linux environment.
* Strong knowledge of internet technologies.

Quality Analyst (Linguistics)

You need to be an avid reader with a broad range of interests, and have a healthy, robust command of the English and/or Chinese Language(s). As a quality analyst, you will work with engineers to help improve the quality of our analyzer module(s).

This is a long-term contract opportunity, requiring at least 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

* Evaluate, and score the accuracy of results produced by our analyzer module(s).
* Work with the Engineering team to define, enhance, and improve the linguistic and semantic rules.
* Work with the Engineering team to define, enhance, and improve the domain-specific dictionaries.
