US demands information on FTX employees from investors, partners
US authorities have asked for individuals and companies who regularly traded or work closely with FTX to share information on the crypto exchange’s employees, South China Morning Post reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.
Those requests were sent by the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
They are reportedly trying to find out more about FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried and former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison, as well as potential law violations made by the two companies.
Recently, Temasek was scrutinized in Singapore’s parliament regarding its investment in FTX. The city-state’s deputy prime minister Lawrence Wong said that the firm is currently reviewing its internal processes following the write-off of its US$275 million investment in the crypto exchange.
