Udaan co-founder joins $15m round of East Ventures-backed ESOP management firm
Qapita, a provider of software-as-a-service solutions for employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) and cap-table management, has raised US$15 million in its latest round of funding.

- Qapita plans to use the fresh funds to add more products to its platform that will also cater to investors, shareholders, and employees. The firm will also facilitate liquidity solutions through a digital marketplace, which will enable transactions between investors and employee stakeholders.
- The company aims to grow its client base across Singapore, Indonesia, and India.
- Over the past year, Qapita has increased the headcount of its company from seven to 65 employees, who are located in Singapore and India. The firm plans to ramp up hiring across India, Indonesia, and Singapore soon.
- In April, the company raised US$5 million in a pre-series A round led by MassMutual Ventures.
- In its target markets, Qapita faces competition from LetsVenture, an India-based fundraising platform that recently brought its ESOP management product MyStartupEquity to Singapore.
