Indonesia’s Dealoka raises series A funding from SB ISAT

What a start to the year. There have been new investments in Indonesia companies every week of 2015 so far, and this week’s announcement according to DailySocial is mobile app Dealoka raising an undisclosed amount of series A funding from SB ISAT, a US$50 million fund by Softbank and telco Indosat.
Dealoka gives users evouchers based on interest and location, allowing merchants to push promotions to drive offline traffic to their physical stores. Co-founder Sidnei Budiman says SB ISAT’s experience in the cellular and digital spheres will help grow the startup on a faster scale.
Since its launch in June 2014, Dealoka has raked in 35,000 downloads. It presently has more than 30 offers available to users. The company is among the first graduates of Indosat’s accelerator program, Ideabox. Other companies also offering location-based promos are Banting and Hot Diskon.
