We’re not at the Consumer Electronics Show, but we did happen to see this picture on the Razer Facebook page yesterday.

Ladies and gentlemen, in case you don’t feel like clicking on that YouTube video, or are perhaps incarcerated in your office cubicle with your boss on patrol, you should know that Razer has just announced its concept of a modular gaming PC.
Project Christine looks like a server rack, with the different, Razer-style-encased PC parts slotted in. I’m quite the Razer fan but I hate this on first sight, not just because it’s probably going to be obnoxiously overpriced to start with, but also because I bet those modular pieces are probably going to cost twice or thrice of what you already pay for PC components.
And not to mention, it really affronts the tech-savvy elitist in me. PC modding used to be for people who knew how, and Razer’s just going to unleash all that capability to the tech-illiterates out there?
Really!
Still, we’re psyched to see whether this actually translates into a real product. Razer might make some questionable items at times, but at least they always do so with both form and function in mind.
