In brief: Insignia Ventures leads seed round for Indonesian entertainment startup

Indonesia’s Tadotv has closed a seed round led by Singapore-based Insignia Ventures Partners. Teng Jen Ang, senior investment analyst for Insignia, will also join Tadotv’s board.

Tadotv is an interactive storytelling platform for mobile phones. It allows users to choose their own storylines in films, similar to a choose-your-own-adventure book. Users can also create their own films on the platform.

Insignia managing partner Ying Lan Tan is excited about the startup’s future. “We believe that short-form content will be the new media wave and will dominate the screen time on mobile phones,” he says.
