The former managing director of Microsoft Singapore is back at the helm again, following incumbent Helene Auriol’s departure to Europe for what the company says are family reasons.
Jessica Tan, who has taken over the post, previously served as managing director from 2008 to 2012. This time, she will be returning with a “significantly expanded portfolio”, providing regional guidance and giving support and counsel to Cesar Cernuda, Area President for Asia Pacific, on education and citizenship services.
Beyond her full-time job, Jessica is a two-term Member of Parliament for Singapore’s ruling People’s Action Party since 2006, serving in the East Coast GRC area.
“Microsoft Singapore continues to grow from strength to strength, as we transform ourselves to a devices and services company. This transformation creates new and exciting market opportunities for us and I look forward to growing Microsoft’s impact both locally and in the region in this expanded role,” said Jessica.
Helene will remain with Microsoft to assume a new leadership role, which will be announced at a later date.
