Van Deur brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the global finance and banking sector. He most recently served as head of corporate finance and capital markets for Asia Pacific at ABN Amro Bank.
In a statement, KoinWorks said that Van Deur will develop funding and forecasting strategies as well as oversee its financial management.
The startup was founded by Benedicto Haryono and Willy Arifin in 2016 as a peer-to-peer lending company. It introduced neobank solution KoinWorks NEO in April this year, which helps business owners borrow working capital, make payments, and create financial reports.
Currently, there are 90,000 NEO accounts on the company’s platform. About 120,000 NEO Cards have also been disbursed.
