Here are the 10 winners of IdeaSpace’s 2015 startup competition

IdeaSpace Foundation has announced the 10 winners of its 2015 startup competition that will go on to join its accelerator program.

The 10 startups were each awarded PHP500,000 (US$11,000) seed funding, plus a separate grant worth at least another PHP500,000 inclusive of business management classes, marketing and financial consulting, intellectual property consulting and incorporation, office space, and business registration costs, among others.

In no particular order, the winning startups are:

Flexstrap – a flexible stainless steel strap that enables water utility companies to connect their customers’ piping system to the main water supply. This speeds up service levels, lowers inventory costs, and maximizes storage space

Heat Stress Analyser – an electronic device, which protects crops against irreversible effects of heat and provides data analysis for an improved next harvest

Fame – a transponder intended mainly for general aviation aircraft, fishing vessels, and small boats

JustGo – a system that allows two electric tricycles to share three battery packs instead of four

Frontlearners – an elearning content developer and provider that enables blended-learning classes to boost competency

Vinteo – a one-stop shop customer analytics solution for brick-and-mortar stores, providing on-demand statistics for business growth and optimization purposes

Stream Energy – a system that generates electricity from the water consumption of buildings

Saffron Tech – a safety product that is comprised of day-to-day accessories that enable users to trigger an application that will inform their loved ones about an emergency situation via SMS

Zinergi – an online application that allows partnerships between brands and events

Halina’t Bumasa – a startup that builds educational apps, which promote early literacy and love for Filipino culture
