Tech in Asia Jakarta 2015 by the numbers (INFOGRAPHIC)

On Jakarta’s notoriously congested roads, the increase in traffic toward Balai Kartini on November 11 and 12 might have gone unnoticed. Yet for those present in the expo halls, it was evident that Tech in Asia Jakarta 2015 – and Indonesia – had its biggest tech conference to-date.

Our fourth annual Jakarta conference welcomed 4,271 attendees over two days that were jam-packed with activities, content, and folks eager for a taste of what is arguably Asia’s hottest startup market. While signature events such as Startup Investor Speed Dating remained popular, the new multi-stage format generated a buzz in virtually every corner of the conference grounds.

Coming up against the rush hour traffic, it took some time to shift the crowd to Night Crawl, our post-conference party – but as the night ploughed on, it was plain to see that this was a crowd that worked and played equally hard.

Mr. Thomas Lembong, Indonesia’s Trade Minister, and Go-Jek’s Nadiem Makarim graced this conference with their presence. We weren’t the only one excited to have them with us – it was a full house (aisles included!) throughout the session, and it’s safe to say everyone left feeling a whole lot more inspired.

With some help from our friends at Piktochart, we’ve put together an overview of Tech in Asia Jakarta 2015 by the numbers.

Making way for Tech in Asia Singapore 2016

A massive thank you is in order to all our sponsors, partners, volunteers and supporters that have helped to make the Jakarta conference a successful run.

While the Singapore conference happening on April 12 and 13 next year is still some time away, preparations are well underway – it’ll be a show to remember for sure.

Tech in Asia Singapore next year will open its doors to over 5,000 attendees, with a lineup geared to be more inclusive than ever. Attendees can expect a greater variety of content to cater to both the tech-savvy and the newly initiated.

On top of it, we’re throwing in a spiffy 25 percent off (code: tiasg25) all passes until December 27 – get yours today!
