Do your part for relief efforts in Nepal on this crowdfunding website

The recent 7.8-magnitude earthquake that caused the deaths of over 3,000 people – and injured more than 6,500 – has caused fear to run rampant in the mountainous vicinity of Nepal. The Guardian reports that over 70 percent of the houses in nearby villages have been destroyed, and UNICEF states that nearly one million children might have been “severely affected” by the disaster.
In response, rescue efforts are coming in from all over the world. Crowdrise, a US-based crowdfunding site for charitable donations, is pitching in with a dedicated page that aggregates all of its funding efforts specific to the Nepal disaster.
So far, US$248,661 has been raised across all the campaigns. At US$180,822, the largest chunk of that is from a relief fund raised by celebrated fashion designer Prabal Gurung – whose family resides in Nepal – and Shikshya Foundation Nepal. The foundation is owned by Gurung, and focuses on providing education to underprivileged Nepalese children.
You might not be able to be there physically, but you can do your part for relief efforts by chipping in here.
