(5) Fresh from the acquisition agreement of Detik.com by Para Group, Detik’s founder and editor-in-chief Budiono Darsono is said to be rounding up a number of bloggers and developers from Jogjakarta to create a brand new startup.
(6) Fajar Endra Nusa, founder of bukuQ explained that concurrent with their public beta release, bukuQ is also collaborating with MySipisisPro® who also recently launched their latest service Copycataloging.com.
(7) Indowebster, known as the most popular provider of file storage in Indonesia, will explore providing both legal and illegal versions of the same content.
(8) In a BuzzcCity report, the summary from 1st quarter mobile commerce trends and tendencies shows that more commercials (53 billion commercial) have aired through BuzzCity in the first six month of 2011, compared to 2010 (52 billion commercials). For Indonesia alone, the impression gained by BuzzCity is the world’s second largest after India, with a total impression of 3.76 billion and the average CPC of $0.04.
(9) Soegianto, founder of e-commerce site Sedapur.com, has won a Nokia Fellowship.
