Financial services marketplace nets pre-series A money
Wise Egg, a Singapore-based fintech firm, has raised an undisclosed amount of pre-series A funding in a round led by Genesia Ventures, with participation from Monex Ventures. Both VCs are headquartered in Japan.

Wise Egg operates a financial services marketplace called MoneyDuck in Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand. The platform lets users consult with financial service providers online, with the marketplace targeting customers who want to invest, get a loan, buy insurance, or apply for a credit card.
The company was founded by Japan-born Takashi Matsuura in 2019.
Wise Egg plans to expand the business to other Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia and Vietnam.
In 2019, the startup raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from Genesia Ventures.
