China Roundup: Robotics firm nets $200 million in funding, and other news
Sequoia joins US$200 million round of Chinese warehouse robotics firm
- Hai Robotics raised the amount in series C and series D rounds that were announced at the same time.
- The series C was led by 5Y Capital, with participation from other backers such as Sequoia Capital China and Source Code Capital. The series D round was led by Capital Today and also included Sequoia Capital China and 5Y Capital, among others.
- Hai Robotics will use the new funds to upgrade its offerings and extend its footprint across the global market.
Keenon Robotics turns to Singapore as launchpad for global debut
- Keenon said it has partnered with SoftBank Robotics to launch Keenbot, the firm’s delivery robot offering, in Singapore and Japan.
- It’s also charting a course for expansion into Europe, West Asia, and the US.
- The announcement comes after Keenon secured US$200 million in a series D round led by SoftBank’s Vision Fund 2.
Project management startup closes GIC-led US$50 million series C round
- GIC led Ones.ai‘s latest round, which also saw participation from existing backers Source Code Capital and XVC.
- The announcement comes after the Shenzhen-based startup raised US$46.3 million in its series B1 and B2 rounds.
- Ones.ai plans to use the fresh funds to onboard new talent, improve its product, and enhance its customer service, founder and CEO Wang Yingqi said.
