Ubisoft Singapore on Art in Videogames

Did you know that the gaming industry giant Ubisoft has an office in Singapore? And that Ubisoft Singapore has a direct hand in Ghost Recon Online and Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag?

Ubisoft Singapore were also responsible for the epic naval battles you saw in Assassin’s Creed III. And if you didn’t know all that before reading Games in Asia, shame on you!

It’s okay though, you can redeem yourself by checking out Ubisoft Singapore’s first art exhibit on November 8 and November 9 2013. Titled ‘Art in video games’, it will be held at Ubisoft Singapore’s partner school, the FZD School of Design.

“[…] visitors will be able to see the artistic process that guides the creation of a video game,” said Olivier de Rotalier, Managing Director of Ubisoft Singapore. “This exhibit is also a way to reflect the diversity and the quality of our studio’s artistic production.”

Concept art and 3D renders from Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag and Ghost Recon Online will be showcased, with aim of highlighting the Singapore studio’s work scope. Two masterclasses by Ubisoft Singapore artists will also take place on Saturday, November 9 2013, at 3pm and 7pm. The one hour long classes will explain how concept art is created.
