Today’s India funding roundup: POPxo, SatvaCart, Explara, SparesHub

In the first three quarters of this year, startups in India have raised over US$6.4 billion in funding. The lion’s share of it went to consumer-facing ecommerce companies like Paytm, Flipkart, and Snapdeal.
Among others, online grocery store SatvaCart raised funding today as investors continue to try and successfully crack the grocery delivery industry in India.
Here’s today’s funding roundup:
SatvaCart
Grocery retailer SatvaCart raised US$1.8 million. The round was led by Palaash Ventures. SatvaCart is an online grocery store that is currently only functional in Gurgaon, Haryana. The funding will be used to expand its service to other cities.
POPxo
POPxo, a digital media website with content for young women, has raised US$2 million in series A funding. The round is led by IDG Ventures india and Kalaari Capita. 500 Startups also participated in the round. The website includes content like fashion, beauty, and relationship advice.
Explara
Explara, an event ticketing site, raised US$486,000 in funding today. The round included existing investors Blume Ventures and VP of Google SEA and India, Rajan Anandan – in addition to Hyderabad Angels. Explara raised three rounds of funding before this but the amounts were undisclosed.
SparesHub
Automobile parts and services marketplace SparesHub raised an undisclosed amount of pre-Series A funding from M&S Partners and the Hyderabad Angels. Customers who use SparesHub hopes to solve the issue of limited access to spare car parts by curating and selling parts on its website. Products are sold by third-party resellers, not automakers themselves.
