You might already heard of iMatch, a platform that aims to match investors and companies in the Interactive Digital Media (IDM) industry. For the first time, an international version of iMatch will be held in early December. What was primarily local will now be broadened to include both foreign investors and companies in iMatch International.
So far, they have two confirmed investor panelists: Jonathan Teo of Benchmark Capital (the investor in Twitter) and Mohanjit Jolly of DFJ (India).
Call For Proposals
They are currently issuing a Call For Proposals for iMatch International. And are looking for companies with:
– Potential to reach markets in Singapore and beyond
– Recognized traction
– Innovative concepts in the Media Content/IDM Sector
iMatch Launchpad
At the heart of i.Match International is Launchpad 2009 which aims to showcase great, game-changing innovation in Asia. The top 20 companies from all the proposals received will get to present at iMatch Launchpad without fees. And the top 5- 10 companies selected from Launchpad will pitch directly to an international investor panel.

Jonathan Teo, Benchmark Capital
Prior to joining Google, he worked at Bain & Company, helping a Fortune 100 client optimize and grow its technical support organization. He also served as a consultant to Intuit, Electronic Arts and other technology companies, spent two years in the Republic of Singapore Air Force and was a founding member of a software development group focused on developing security protocols and analyzers. He currently holds patented work in the area of link layer security.
Jonathan Teo has spent his career helping companies build distributed engineering organizations that enable technical teams and infrastructure to expand and scale globally. Most recently he served as Engineering PM in the Search Properties and Enterprise Products groups at Google, and he was an early member of its Strategy and Business Operations team. In both roles he created highly leveraged research and product organizations in countries around the world that enabled the company to adjust to changing strategic and operational needs and foster greater innovation and efficiencies.
